FACULTY OF FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FAMILY DAY 2026

SERDANG, 10 MEI 2026 – On 10 May 2026, the FSTM Family Day 2026 program was successfully held under the organization of the Field Representative Exco, Faculty Representative Council of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FOSTECH), Session 2025/2026. The program was conducted physically at Bukit Ekspo, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The FSTM Family Day 2026 was organized with the aim of strengthening the relationship between staff and students in a relaxed and friendly setting, while fostering teamwork, cooperation, and mutual understanding through a variety of group activities. The program also promoted a healthy lifestyle by encouraging participation in physical and recreational activities.

The event featured four main activities: the Picnic & Chill Session, Aerobics Session, Sukaneka Rotation Session, and Tug of War. The Sukaneka Rotation Session comprised three engaging game stations, namely the Headphone Game, Sponge Relay, and Tunnel Vision Challenge, each designed to encourage collaboration, communication, and problem-solving among participants.

A total of 60 participants took part in the program, including 45 students and 15 faculty staff members, along with their family members. Their presence contributed to the vibrant and cheerful atmosphere of the event. Beyond providing a platform for recreation and social interaction, the program also enhanced participants’ communication and teamwork skills, particularly during the Sukaneka Rotation Session, where effective strategies and collective effort were essential to successfully complete the challenges.

The program concluded with a prize-giving ceremony to recognize the outstanding performance and sportsmanship demonstrated by the participating teams throughout the activities. The prizes were presented by FOSTECH Advisor, Dr. Asyrul Izhar, who congratulated the winners and expressed his appreciation to all participants, organizers, and staff members for their commitment and enthusiastic involvement in making the event a success.

It is hoped that the FSTM Family Day 2026 will continue to inspire stronger connections among the Universiti Putra Malaysia community, especially among the participating students and staff. The program also served as a valuable opportunity to develop essential soft skills that will benefit participants throughout their academic journey and future professional careers.
