‘Food Science Seminar 1: Future Foods Inspired by Traditional Foods

Food Science Seminar 1: Future Foods Inspired by Traditional Foods was held on 30 September 2022, and is the first in a series of Food Science Seminar programs. This program has attracted the interest of a total of 150 participants consisting of staff and students from domestic and foreign higher education institutions. The implementation of this program was made online using the Zoom application, since one of the speakers was specially invited from the University of Queensland, Australia, namely Prof. Yasmina Sultanbawa. Also as an invited speaker to share expertise is Prof. Dr. Faridah Abas who shares her expertise in the field of functional food.

 

Among the objectives of the implementation of this program is to jointly share the latest information about the results of scientific studies on traditional foods that are eventually upgraded into future foods in online seminars, as well as provide continuous education (lifelong learning) to the community about the potential and methods of making food traditional become the food of the future.
