Perak, 13 December 2025 - The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Department of Food Technology (JTM) organized a Staff Visit Program to Food Processing Factories and a Knowledge Transfer Session with the Seafood Entrepreneur Community in Perak from 11 to 13 December 2025.  

This program aimed to increase staff exposure to industrial practices and technologies, strengthen collaboration networks with companies, as well as implement knowledge transfer to the seafood entrepreneur community through the sharing of retort technology and High-Pressure Processing (HPP).  

Among the visit locations were QL Foods Sdn. Bhd. (Hutan Melintang), Dindings Tyson Sdn. Bhd. (Sitiawan), Harumi Brands Sdn. Bhd. (Sitiawan), as well as seafood product enterprise areas in Pangkor Island. A total of 28 participants were involved in this visit program, and the program also involved 30 people from the community.
