Serdang, 11 July 2025 – The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), recently hosted a visit from NCS Science Sdn. Bhd., marking another step forward in strengthening academic-industry collaboration.

This visit aimed to explore broader collaborations beyond the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed for the internship under the 3U1I Bachelor of Science in Food Manufacturing Operations with Honours enhanced internship placements, and future initiatives such as career talks and industry engagement programs.

The session was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Ismail Fitry Mohammad Rashedi, Head of the Department of Food Technology. The meeting was also attended by academic staff from FSTM, including Dr. Sarina Abdul Halim Lim and Dr. Nurul Izzah Khalid, as well as representatives from NCS Science, Mr. Jason Kwan and Ms. Fiona Wong.

The open dialogue reflected a shared vision to develop talent, promote innovation, and foster stronger linkages between academia and the food industry.

FSTM values the continued partnership with NCS Science and looks forward to expanding collaborative efforts that will benefit students, researchers, and the industry at large.
