Friday, 19 July 2024 – This study tour involved 64 students from SMK Taman Universiti 2 from Skudai, Johor. In addition, five accompanying teachers and the principal of SMK Taman Universiti 2 participated in this visit. A briefing on the faculty and programs offered was delivered by Dr. Fareed at the Food Technology Lecture Hall, Faculty of Food Science and Technology.

The tour continued by visiting the Supercritical Fluid Center (SFC), the Pilot Plant for Processing Meat Products, the Learning Center for the Pilot Plant for Processing Juices and Purees, the Sensory Room at Food 3, and finally L'apperanti. This study tour will allow students of this school to see and learn more about the Faculty of Food Science and Technology at UPM. They can also identify the study programs offered, and facilities provided, as well as meet lecturers and students at the faculty.

In addition, this visit can also help students make decisions about their studies at the university level. This study tour is expected to provide a fun and valuable experience to the students of SMK Taman Universiti 2 and help them prepare for university studies in the future.
