SEREMBAN, May 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) continues to chart proud achievements as two Master's students under the supervision of FSTM lecturers received recognition in the MSAE 2025 Best Thesis Award for the Master's Category.

The awards were presented in conjunction with the National Agricultural and Food Engineering Convention 2026 (NAFEC 2026) held at Klana Resort Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. FSTM was also involved as a co-organizer for this prestigious convention.

Master's student, Giroon Ijod, under the supervision of Dr. Ezzat Mohamad Azman, successfully secured first place in the category. Meanwhile, Nurul Izza Nabilah binti Mohd Samsudin, a Master's student supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rashidah Sukor, also received the Merit Award for the excellence of her thesis.

This success reflects the high commitment of students and supervisors in producing quality research, subsequently elevating the reputation of FSTM and UPM in the fields of agricultural and food engineering.
