SERDANG, 20 April 2026 – The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Community Relations) held an official visit to the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) to strengthen strategic cooperation between the university and the faculty.
The meeting, which took place at the Jalamas Meeting Room, was led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (JINM), Prof. Shamsul Bahri Hj Md Tamrin, along with senior officers from the Centre for Industrial Relations and Networks (CiRNeT) and the University Community Transformation Centre (UCTC).
The primary purpose of the visit was to align the industry and community networking agenda at the faculty level with the university's strategic direction. The one-hour meeting served as an important platform for both parties to discuss new initiatives and ensure the smooth implementation of collaborative programs currently being or soon to be undertaken by FSTM.
Through this discussion session, the JINM delegation was able to take a closer look at the potential expertise available at FSTM to be highlighted in high-impact projects with the industry and local community. The presence of key leaders such as AP Dr. Sudesh Prabakharan (CiRNeT) and AP Dr. Khairulmazmi Ahmad (UCTC) also demonstrated a solid commitment to providing management support to the faculty.
The visit concluded with an exchange of views that is expected to drive FSTM towards a more sustainable and dynamic excellence in industrial networking.
