On 19 December 2025, a total of 38 students from the Bachelor of Science in Foodservice Management program, accompanied by two lecturers, Associate Professor Dr. Noor Azira Abdul Mutalib and Associate Professor Dr. Ungku Fatimah Ungku Zainal Abidin from the Department of Foodservice Management, visited the National Centre for Food Safety (NCFS) located in Sepang.

The purpose of this visit was to expose students to the role of the center in ensuring food safety and to provide an understanding of the testing and monitoring processes carried out. During the visit, students attended a briefing on the functions and objectives of the center, toured the laboratory to observe microbiological and chemical testing procedures, and participated in a Q&A session on current food safety issues and applicable regulations.

The NCFS officers involved included its Director, TS Haji Khairuddin bin Mohamad Talib. This visit was highly beneficial to the students as they gained practical knowledge about food safety systems, understood the importance of compliance with food laws, and increased their awareness of the role of government agencies in safeguarding food safety.

In conclusion, the visit successfully achieved its objectives and provided valuable experience for students in the field of food safety.
