FOSTECH

FOSTECH (Students’ Association of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology) is a student-led organisation under the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This organisation was established in November, 2004. FOSTECH was established with the intention of serving as a bridge between lecturers and staffs with the students of the faculty. The association also helps to organise various activities that give positive impacts and benefits to the members of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology. Projects organised by FOSTECH aim to develop the student's professional skills, support their welfare, and strengthen the bond between one another. FOSTECH's initiatives also aim to foster a dynamic and sustainable environment, particularly within the Faculty of Food Science and Technology. FOSTECH cooperates with the administration division of the faculty to accomplish its goals and objectives. The main committee members of FOSTECH are chosen during the Annual Grand Meeting that is conducted every year. All undergraduate students under the Faculty of Food Science and Technology are automatically registered as members of FOSTECH.

FOSTECH is managed by a Committee Member elected from the Annual General Meeting held annually.

The objectives of the establishment of FOSTECH are:

• Help to form the Soft Skills of students through organized activities so that it becomes an added value to students to be able to compete in the job market.
• Strengthen family relationships within the faculty through activities carried out.
