Greetings and welcome to the Faculty of Food Science and Technology's website.
The establishment of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology began with the establishment of the Department of Food Science and Technology under the Faculty of Agriculture in 1976. The Faculty has undergone some restructuring and now has 3 academic departments: Department of Food Science, Department of Food Technology, and Department of Food Service and Management. In line with the University's vision, the faculty's vision is to be a faculty of international repute in the field of Food Science and Technology.
To date, three (3) undergraduate and graduate level programs are offered. The programs of studies offered enable students to have a solid foundation in their field of study in addition to producing graduates with critical and creative skills in order for them to enter the job market within the relevant industries as well as to pursue graduate studies. The learning process is handled by highly trained academic staffs who are experts in their respective fields. Their skills and expertise are evident through the many successes achieved both locally and internationally. Excellence in research is evident when the Faculty of Food Science and Technology was recognized as a 5 star Faculty in UPM for three (3) consecutive years.
