Serdang, 7 November 2025 – The Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSH Committee) of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) conducted a Building Evacuation Drill at Food 8 Building at 9:30 a.m. as part of the faculty's annual safety exercise.

The drill aimed to educate all faculty members about the actions to be taken in the event of an emergency in the workplace or laboratory. The program involved collaboration with the FSTM Emergency Response Team (ERT), the First Aid Unit, APSEC, and the University Health Centre (PKU).

Notably, this year’s exercise also included a simulation of an injury incident involving a student, who was quickly and successfully rescued by the ERT team according to established safety procedures.

Overall, the drill went smoothly and achieved its objective when the entire building was successfully evacuated within a period of two (2) minutes. This success reflects the high level of preparedness and efficiency of the safety team, as well as the excellent cooperation from all faculty members.
