Serdang, 20 August 2025 – The Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), held a Letter Handover Ceremony for the Extension of Appointment of CEO@PTJ for the 2025–2026 session, covering a one (1) year period from 21 July 2025 to 20 July 2026.

The handover ceremony took place on 20 August 2025 at the Dean's Meeting Room, Faculty of Food Science and Technology, and involved two CEOs@FSTM: Mr. Hairol Ariffein Sahari, Chief Executive Officer of Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), and Ms. Racheal Tan Siok Khim, Executive Director of Wellous Sdn. Bhd.

According to the faculty, the CEO@PTJ program continues with the aim of strengthening the university-industry relationship through the sharing of experiences and mentorship for students and lecturers.

The main objectives of this program include establishing the CEOs as icons for students and departments, building synergistic collaboration between industry leaders and university researchers, increasing industrial exposure for students and academic staff, recruiting and nurturing top student talent, as well as enhancing the visibility of industry-university collaboration.

With this continued appointment, the Faculty of Food Science and Technology is confident that the program will remain a strategic platform in supporting educational development aligned with industry needs.
