Puchong, 12 April 2025 – A total of 33 students from the Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology (BSTM) program participated in an educational visit to Clarity Excel Sdn. Bhd., a leading company in the supply of food processing and packaging equipment in Malaysia. The visit was led by Associate Professor Dr. Nur Hanani Zainal Abedin as part of an initiative to enhance practical understanding among undergraduate students regarding operations and technology in food processing plants, in line with the objectives of the Food Packaging course, FST4408.

In addition to technical exposure, the visit also served as a source of inspiration and motivation for students to better understand the realities of the working world in the food processing sector. Direct interaction with industry professionals enabled them to explore the wide range of career opportunities in the field, while also boosting their confidence and gaining practical knowledge valuable for their future career development.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Marketing Manager, Ms. Jayce Lim, along with her team. Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to observe live demonstrations of processing machines such as shrink wrapping, cartoning, filling and sealing, vacuum packaging, as well as solid and liquid filling. This hands-on experience allowed students to grasp the actual functions and applications of these machines within the food industry.
