25 MARCH - Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) held a Student Prize Giving Ceremony for Session 2020/2021 at the Food Technology Lecture Hall 1 recently. The event was held in a hybrid manner where prize recipients, Sponsors, Management Members and Academic Advisors were invited to attend the event physically, while other guests were invited to follow it online via Facebook Live of the Academic and Students’ Affairs Division, FSTM.
The Faculty Prize Giving Ceremony is held annually to recognize the achievements and contributions of students and graduates to the faculty. However, the event could not be held last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world.
This time there was a slight difference where the faculty held a sharing session with the industry representatives who had been invited, namely Dato 'Foo Chi Ching who is the Managing Director of Astramina Group Berhad, as an inspiration to the students and graduates in facing the future career.
A total of eight sponsors were honoured to donate prizes to 14 students who have achieved excellent results in academics for undergraduate and graduate programs. The ceremony began at three o'clock in the afternoon which was officiated by the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anis Shobirin Meor Hussin.
