Serdang, 24 April 2025 - The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia successfully organized the 2025 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration on Thursday, 24 April 2025. The event was held at L'apprenti Restaurant, FOOD 6, FSTM, from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., and was attended by lecturers and faculty staff.

The celebration commenced with a prayer recitation and an opening address by the Dean of FSTM, who emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of Hari Raya as a platform to strengthen bonds within the faculty community. Following the opening ceremony, guests were treated to an array of traditional Hari Raya dishes starting at 10.15 a.m.

To enliven the atmosphere, a series of engaging activities were conducted, including karaoke sessions, a P. Ramlee-style sampin wearing contest for male participants, ketupat weaving competitions, and best-dressed "vogue" Raya outfit contests for both male and female categories. These activities fostered camaraderie among attendees and showcased the creativity and talents of participants.

The event concluded at around 3.00 p.m. with a group photo session, marking the success of an event that not only celebrated the spirit of Aidilfitri but also strengthened the spirit of togetherness within the FSTM community. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue in the future to further enhance unity and cooperation among all members of the faculty.
