FSTM, UPM Excels at NAFEC 2026 as Students Clinch Gold and Silver Medals

SEREMBAN, 13 May 2026 – The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) continues to record proud achievements as two of its students successfully won Gold and Silver Medals in a competition held in conjunction with the National Agricultural and Food Engineering Convention 2026 (NAFEC 2026) in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

The achievements were earned by Hafssa El Mouradi, who secured the Gold Medal, while Nur Aqilah binti Mohamad Arif successfully took home the Silver Medal. Both students are under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail-Fitry Mohammad Rashedi.

Even more impressively, FSTM, UPM also served as a co-organizer for NAFEC 2026, further strengthening the faculty's involvement in the fields of agricultural and food engineering at the national level.

This success proves the commitment of FSTM students in producing high-quality, competitive research that is relevant to the current developments in the food and agricultural industries. This achievement also reflects FSTM's continuous efforts in strengthening the culture of research, innovation, and academic excellence among its students.
