PETALING, 23 MAY 2026 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has once again made history when a student from the Bachelor of Food Service Management Science with Honors program, Ahmad Najmi Alif Ahmad Azhan, was crowned the Champion of the MONIN Cup Malaysia 2026 held at Sunway University under the Mocktail category. Even more proudly, UPM is the first public research university to participate in this prestigious competition and immediately succeeded in clinching the championship title in its inaugural participation.

Also bringing honor to UPM's name is Teo Yee Xiang, who demonstrated high commitment, discipline, and fighting spirit throughout the training and competition period. This success is proof that UPM FSTM students are not only excellent in academics, but are also capable of competing professionally in the food and hospitality industry. Congratulations are also extended to the team of supervising lecturers, Dr. Muhammad Rezza Zainal Abidin, Dr. Chua Bee Lia, Dr. Ainul Zakiah Abu Bakar, and Dr. Jack Lai Hao Bin, for their dedication and guidance provided throughout the competition preparation.
