Study Program Sharing Session by Ghent University, Belgium

SERDANG, 24 November 2025 – A total of 73 students from various faculties at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) participated in a successful Study Program Sharing Session organised by the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering of Ghent University, Belgium.

The successful bilateral program aimed to expose UPM students to opportunities for pursuing Master’s degrees and other international academic programs offered by Ghent University, one of Europe’s leading institutions.

The Ghent University delegation present at the session comprised esteemed academics and international relations officers:

  • Professor Christine Yung Hung, Lecturer
  • Mr. Michel Flement, International Relations Officer
  • Ms. Sylvie Bauwens, International Relations Officer

The session garnered significant interest from students, particularly those from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), Faculty of Forestry and Environment (FHAS), Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB), and Faculty of Agriculture (FP).

Throughout the program, the Ghent University delegation shared detailed information about the curriculum structure, application process, and global career prospects for Bioscience Engineering graduates. UPM students seized the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into Master Programme and learning environment at Ghent University.

This sharing session is expected to strengthen the academic collaboration between UPM and Ghent University and encourage international student mobility and knowledge exchange.
