Deputy Dean's Office

The Faculty’s Academic and Student Affairs Division undertake the undergraduate academic program administration and handle the Faculty’s student affairs. Full time academic programs are offered to qualified candidates (STPM/equivalent, Matriculation/Foundation, Diploma holder/equivalent qualifications as entry requirements for Bachelor programs at UPM).
 
Postgraduate, Research and Innovation Division (BSPI) was established in September 2007 in which previously it was known as the Research, Innovation and Internationalization Division . BSPI was responsible to manage the affairs of the graduates as well as the scope of existing research in the Faculty in line with the declaration of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM ) as a Research University in November 2006 .
 
 

In the effort of the Faculty to achieve the strategic goals of UPM 2021-2025, that is focusing its 8 strategic area and has five important goals for UPM to become the University of international repute. From the analysis, feedback, brainstorm, and engagement with various stakeholders, UPM decides to improve its global ranking and strengthening its core functions for the continuity of excellence.

Eight strategic area which is being focused on in UPM Strategic Plan 2014-2020 are as below:

  1. Teaching and learning, and holistic student development
  2. Research, commercialisation and innovation
  3. Industry linkages and community service
  4. Management and talent development
  5. Income generation
  6. Niche area - Agricultural Excellence
  7. Development of facilities and campus sustainability
  8. Branding, image and visibility
