22 MARCH - The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) received a visit from a delegation from School of Applied Science,Temasek Politechnic, Singapore. In addition to learning about ethical and cultural diversity, the visit aims to expose students to undergraduate and postgraduate studies at FSTM specifically, as their students will complete their diploma studies in May 2023.

A total of 37 students of Temasek Polytechnic including two of their faculty officers arrived at the Food Technology Lecture Hall 1, FSTM, at nine o'clock in the morning to hear a briefing from Deputy Dean (Academic and Students Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radhiah Shukri, and Head of Department of Food Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Gun Hean, about the faculty and the study programs offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

After that, they were taken to visit several laboratories in the faculty, which are the Supercritical Fluid Centre, the Chilling and Freezing Laboratory, and the Pilot Plant for Juice and Puree. They are exposed to the technology involved in producing a product. 

Hopefully this collaboration can be kept it up so that students can broaden their experience at the international level.
